He asked me why I was photographing his old busted up brown Kayak, but I saw the fin, the reflections, the sand, the sun, the ripples, the headland….There’s a scene, much greater than the sum of its parts. A story. You can feel the cold, the salt, the breeze…and yes, there is a kayak too…
